Custom CSS, JavaScript & HTML Support for Booking Pages
I'd love to see LunaCal introduce the ability to inject custom CSS, JavaScript, and HTML into booking pages, similar to the customization capabilities available in platforms like Fusebase.
While LunaCal already offers some branding and customization options, the ability to add custom code would unlock significantly more flexibility for businesses that want their booking pages to feel like a fully integrated extension of their website.
Proposed Features
Custom CSS: Allow users to override default styling, including layouts, fonts, colors, spacing, backgrounds, borders, and individual components.
Custom JavaScript: Enable custom scripts for dynamic content, animations, interactive elements, third-party integrations, and advanced functionality.
Custom HTML: Allow users to embed additional sections, custom components, banners, and other content directly into booking pages.
Global & Page-Level Customization: Support applying custom code across all booking pages or to individual booking pages.
Custom Header & Footer Code: Provide dedicated areas for injecting scripts, tracking pixels, analytics tools, and other third-party integrations.
Why This Matters
For businesses using LunaCal as part of their customer-facing experience, maintaining consistent branding is extremely important.
Currently, booking pages can feel visually disconnected from the rest of a company's website, even with the existing branding options.
With custom code support, users could:
Create completely branded booking experiences that match their websites.
Customize the positioning and appearance of scheduling widgets, calendars, and booking forms.
Add custom animations, interactive elements, and more sophisticated layouts.
Integrate third-party analytics, marketing, and automation tools.
Remove unnecessary visual elements or reposition existing components.
Build more professional, conversion-focused booking pages without requiring LunaCal to develop every customization option natively.
Suggested Implementation
A simple Custom Code section within the booking page settings, with separate editors for CSS, JavaScript, and HTML, would be ideal.
This could include both account-wide settings and individual booking-page overrides, along with a preview feature to test changes before publishing.
Ultimately, the goal is to give users full control over the look, feel, and functionality of their booking pages without being limited to predefined templates or styling options.
This would be an extremely valuable feature for agencies, enterprise customers, and businesses that want LunaCal to function as a seamlessly integrated part of their own branded experience.
