Currently, when invitees book time, appointments can be scattered randomly throughout the week. This fragments the calendar, creating small, awkward gaps between meetings and destroying the large blocks of time needed for focused, deep work.
Please add an "Appointment Clustering" (or "Minimize Gaps") feature. This would allow users to force new bookings to group next to existing appointments or within specific priority time blocks.
How it should work:
Priority Slots: Let us define preferred booking windows (e.g., only offer Tuesday/Thursday afternoons first).
Dynamic Availability: The system only shows these priority slots to invitees. Once those slots fill up to a certain threshold, the system gradually unlocks secondary time blocks.
Back-to-Back Forcing: An option to only offer times that are adjacent to already-booked meetings.
Example of this in action: For a great example of how this can be successfully implemented, Acuity Scheduling has a robust version of this exact feature. You can see how they handle their "Minimize Gaps" and "Look Busy" settings here: Acuity: Look Busy and Minimize Gaps
Protects Deep Work: Keeps meetings grouped together, preserving uninterrupted half-days for actual work.
Looks Busy/Professional: Prevents a wide-open calendar from making it look like we have zero clients.
Saves Time: Eliminates the administrative headache of manually blocking and unblocking days to force people into specific schedules.
(Note: This was brought up and received strong interest during the AppSumo campaign. Bringing it to life would be a massive workflow upgrade for many of us!)
